There is no let up for Rainey who face the might of Ballynahinch on Saturday ( 2.30 p.m.).  The last two meetings between the sides have resulted in landslide victiries for the Down men.  Much will depend on what kind of side they select for this game.

Five tries, all converted by scrum-half Fisher, in a remarkable twenty minute period completely altered the complexion of the game at Eaton Park where Ballymena entertained Rainey Old Boys on the opening day of the Ulster League.

Although beaten 31-20, Rainey OB IIs can take a lot of positives from their meeting with Ballymena IIs at Eaton Park.  A man short for the entire second half, their youthful side played a lot of good rugby, sharing six tries with their opponents.

Inexperience proved to be their downfall when Rainey OB III were defeated 29-20 by Portadown IV at home.  They would have won the game had they made better use of possession and were unfortunate to concede an interception try right on half-time.
